Finland has secured first place for the second time. And south Sudan is the least happy country.India remained at number 140, which is down seven places from last year.

According to World Happy Happiness  Report-2020 released by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, Finland has secured first place for the Third  time. And Afghanistan is the least happy country.

History of World Happiness Report


In order to list the happiest countries in the world, Bhutan had made a proposal in the UN in 2011.
Since its approval, 'World Happiness  Day' is celebrated every year on 20th March. For the first time, the United Nations General Assembly had declared the World Happy Day on March 20 in 2012.

The eighth annual World Happiness Report 2020 of the United Nations, which ranks 156 countries of the world on the basis that how well their citizens feel about themselves. It has also been noted that negative feelings including anxiety, sadness and anger have increased.

According to the World's Happiness Report- 2019, released by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, 7 of the top 10 happy countries are from Europe, while Asia is not one of the top 20 countries.

In the list of the world's happiest countries, Finland has secured first place for the second time. If we talk about developed country America, then America has been rich in the past years, but there has also been a decline in prosperity. This time it is ranked 19th in the Happy Reports. America is constantly slipping down the list. In 2017, America was ranked 14th.
 The US has not been able to come up with a list of top-10 list of the happiest countries till date. But Britain has definitely improved its rank. Three places ahead of 18th place has leaped to 15th position.

According to the world happiness report, the level of prosperity is continuously falling in superpower countries like Germany, Russia, Japan and China.
Germany slipped two places to 17th position and China has moved from 86th to 93th position.

In the United Nation's World Happiness report this year, India remained at number 140, which is down seven places from last year. India was ranked 133rd in this matter in 2018, while it was 140th place this year. The  neighboring country  Pakistan, is ranked 67th in this list.


 The purpose of the report is to show the mirror to rulers of different countries whether their policies are playing a role in making people's life happy.

As far as India is concerned, for the past some time the global economy has accelerated the pace of the Indian economy.but  Many international financial organizations have bailed us in this matter.
