Labor Day 2021: History, Significance and theme

Labor Day and its Theme 2021

The day of May 1st is celebrated as Labor Day. International Worker's Day is celebrated for the last 132 years.

In 1877, the workers started the movement to decide on working hours. On May 1, 1886 millions of workers from all over America started a strike together. At least 380,000 workers of 11,000 factories participated in this strike and thus began to commemorate the first May as Mazdoor Diwas.

It was started in India since 1923. Behind this day, there is a strike of workers unions that were not done for more than eight hours. During the strike, there was a bomb blast in Hay Market of Chicago. To combat this situation the police fired, in which seven laborers were killed.

Every Year May 1st is celebrated as Labor Day.
Every Year  May 1st is celebrated as Labor Day.

What is the theme of Labor Day 2021 ?

The theme of International Labor Day 2021 is yet to be announced. The 2020 theme of labor day was “Maintaining safety and security at the workplace”.

History: Labor Day commenced on 1st May 1886

On May 1, Labor Day is celebrated in almost all the countries of the world. Labor Day is celebrated in the honor of working people in India. It was started in India by the Labor Kisan Party of Hindustan on 1 May 1923 in Chennai (Madras).

In the past, the condition of the working class was extremely pathetic. Workers were employed for 10 to 15 hours a day. Workplace was so heterogeneous and unfavorable that there were incidents of accidental death of laborers only during the daytime work there. Due to these circumstances, some workers in the US began to raise voice for the welfare of the workers by "Troubleshooting Federation" and "Socialist Union".

How the Labor Day Begins

International Labor Day commenced on 1 May 1886 when the labor unions of the United States decided together that they would not work more than 8 hours, for which organizations organized a strike. A bomb blast occurred in Chicago's Hey market during this strike, to combat the police, the police fired on the workers in which many workers died and more than 100 injured.

After this, a proposal was passed in the second meeting of the International Socialist Conference in 1889, in which it was announced that Memorial Day will be celebrated as International Labor Day on May 1 in memory of the innocent people killed in the Hey market .

In Europe Labor day is Celebrated as pagan festival .

Celebration of Pagan Festival on Labor Day in Europe
Celebration of Pagan Festival on Labor Day in Europe

This day in Europe is historically associated with rural Pagan festivals. Labor Day was celebrated as the first celebration on September 5, 1882 in America. Similarly, Labor Day in New South Wales and South Australia is celebrated on the first Monday of October.

However, till now it is not known who was the Founder of Labor Day? Some believe that the founder of the American Federation of Labor Peter J. McGuire made his debut. At the same time, some people also believe that Mathew Magura introduced it.

How is labor day celebrated?

Today, the days of uncertain work of the workers of the world were transformed into 8 hours. The working class organizes big rallies on this day. The conference is organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO) on this day.

On this day, special assistance and gifts are also offered to the working class by the government on the day of progress  of the working class of the country. For this class people are provided free or reduced price ration, clothes, education, loan for House etc.

On Labor Day, programs are broadcast for labor awakening by media such as TVs, newspapers, and radio, and large political parties also make several important announcements for the welfare of the working class on this day.

Rallies Organised on Labor day
Rallies Organised on Labor day

With this, there is a national holiday on this day in almost 80 countries of the world, and on this day, all workers  are on leave. The progress of any country depends on the farmers and workers (laborers / workers) of that country.

As the strong "foundation" plays an important role in building and supporting a house, workers (employees) have a special role to create a society, country, industry, institution, business in the same way, Those who make the society strong and mature and lead society to success, who work for any organization or privately anybody, and in turn pay a salary, all the people of the working class Come in.

Labor Day has been known as a celebrated festival day of the world. This day is dedicated to the working class who, by working hard and earnestly by working hard day and night in different parts of the world, contribute its priceless contribution to the progress of that country.

Every person who is physically and mentally working, is a laborer, whether it is brick cement, or an employee sitting under the file in the AC office, the working class is an integral and important part of any society, giving him the respect Is duty.

If injustice is being done to the laborers in any place or they are being oppressed, then making the matter public and raising the voice against that evil is the duty of every responsible citizen. All these laborers, workers' day is celebrated to give respect to the workers.

Thank you !!

The attack in Sri Lanka is not taken seriously, why?

The attack in Sri Lanka is not taken seriously, why?

If this attack had taken place in the United States or England instead of Sri Lanka, then the message against it would have been in the whole world and perhaps the reaction of the United States could have been very intense.

India has not taken this attack seriously because India's leaders are busy in the Lok Sabha elections. But the consequences of this terrorist attack can be even dangerous for India if the Sri Lankan attack is not taken seriously. This is exactly a problem for india .

Sri Lanka blast 21 April , 2019

This attack, which killed 350 people in Sri Lanka, was the biggest attack after the 9/11 New York attacks.

destruction after new York attack 9/11
destruction after new York attack 9/11

If compared with the attacks in India, the damage done to the 26/11 attack in Mumbai is estimated to be more damage than the Sri Lanka attack.

Taj Hotel attack Mumbai 26/11
Taj Hotel attack  Mumbai 26/11

Countries that have fought international communities and terrorists are not taking this Sri Lankan attack seriously. If the same attack had happened in the United States or England then the message against it would go all over the world. The American reaction could have been very intense.

Terrorism should not be taken lightly.

Although this attack has happened in Sri Lanka or the United States, terrorism should not be taken lightly. Because its results are horrific.

How did India react to Sri Lanka's terrorist attacks?

This attack took place in neighboring India, the debate was not discussed in the Lok Sabha elections, but it was limited only to depression and silence.

India had taken no action against terrorist attack only mourn and silence for dead people
India had taken no action against terrorist attack only mourn and silence for dead people

Since the last few years ongoing discussions on the Indian sub-continent of ISIS ("Islamic State of Iraq and Syria")  are now becoming a reality. The attack in Sri Lanka is a testimony to how ISIS has become fully active. Two young men in the attack have come in front of those who belonged to a fully prosperous, peaceful and prosperous family. In the past years, ISIS has succeeded in attracting high-ranking young boys to IS. Just as the ISIS has reached Sri Lanka, no other country, including the United States, has not bothered about it.

srilanka attack 21 April on church

There is no unity to repeat the attack in Sri Lanka on the United Nations or any other international forum. ISIS is raising its activities by targeting the poor and weaker countries. Terror is a major crime against humanity. Terrorism can be prevented by taking full revenge at the same time, with full vengeance so that terrorists are forced to think ten times before attacking another place. Therefore, the powerful countries should cooperate with the poor countries and show solidarity

plastic recycling codes 1-7

Plastic recycling codes 1 7

Considering 2019 Earth Day theme "Protect our Species", we should also give attention towards  the marine creatures. waste plastic is the reason for the disappearance of many species in the sea. We can not ignore this. Because sea creatures have great importance in our lives and plastic is one such substance that never fades. Plastics cause death of marine creatures.

Now we will talk about, what is plastic, how it works, how much plastic we use annually, how many plastic can be recycled, how much waste plastic is thrown into the Ocean And how much pollution is caused by plastic? ?

What is plastic ?

A synthetic material made from a wide range of organic polymers such as polyethylene, PVC, nylon, etc., that can be molded into shape while soft, and then set into a rigid or slightly elastic form.

My main motive to write this article is  to help  a common man to understand that which type of plastic is safe and recyclable .
So that everyone tries to reuse plastic  because it produces too much pollution.

How many types of plastic ?

There are seven types of plastic include:

Recycling codes for seven types of plastic
Recycling codes for seven types of plastic

  1. Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE or PET)

what is sustainable development goal 6 and its target

what is sustainable development goal 6

One of the 17 sustainable development goals established by the United Nations in the permanent development
mission 6, 2015. It requires clean water and cleanliness for all people.

"Ensure the availability and sustainable provision of water and hygiene for all".

main motive of SD Goal 6 is to provide clean water to everyone
main motive of SD Goal 6 is to provide clean water to everyone
The challenge

Every year, millions of people, mostly children, die from diseases caused by insufficient water supply,  and sanitation. It is estimated that by 2050, one-fourth of the world's population will probably live in countries. where there will be severe and frequent reductions in water.

Between 1990 and 2009, 2.5 billion people have access to better drinking water, but still 663 million people are deprived. Between 1990 and 2015, the proportion of  the population using a better source of drinking water increased from 76% to 91%. However, every day  about 1,000 children die of diarrhea associated with water and hygiene, while these diseases are easily Can be  avoided.

Why is sustainable development goal  important?

Clean water is extremely important for survival and its effect can affect the health, food security and livelihood of families across the world. Although there is sufficient amount of fresh water for our regular clean water supply

On our earth, due to wrong economic thinking and weak infrastructure, there may be disparity in the distribution of water supply.

Drought hits some of the poorest countries of the world, which leads to further deterioration of starvation and malnutrition. 70% of the total deaths due to natural calamities are due to floods and other disasters related to water.

Reliable energy, economic growth, capable infrastructure to cope with the disaster, sustainable industrialization, consumption and production and food security, everyone has an in-depth relationship   with sustainable supply of clean water.

Hydroelectricity is one of the most important and widely used sources of energy, and by 2011,it has a 16% share in total power generation worldwide.

What is the solution?

The sustainable development goals have convinced the international community that it should expand international cooperation and programs on activities related to water and sanitation and support local communities for improving water and hygiene management. Through the sustainable development goal 6, the countries of the world have resolved that in the next 15 years, safe drinking water and adequate sanitation and sanitation facilities will be made accessible to everyone, everywhere.

India and its target of The sustainable Development Goal  6

The overall ratio of households accessing better water sources in India was 68% in 1992-93 which increased to 90.6% in 2011-12. However, in 2012, 59% of rural households and 8% of the urban households did not have access to better sanitation facilities.

Improvement in cleanliness is a major priority of the Government and in this direction,Govt  has initiated several major programs in which clean Bharat Abhiyan, National Rural Drinking Water Program and Namami Ganges Program for Ganga Conservation.

An objective of The sustainable Development Goal 6

1. By 2030, providing safe and affordable drinking water everywhere and equally accessible to everyone.

2. By 2030, facilitating adequate and uniform hygiene and sanitation facilities for everyone and stop smoking in open.
It will take special care of the needs of the people living in the condition of women and girls and helplessness.

3. By 2030, by reducing pollution, discarding the waste and minimizing harmful chemicals and materials, minimizing  the quality of water, halving the proportion of untreated dirty water, and increasing the recycling of water worldwide and using it again. do.

4. By 2030, greatly encouraging the economical use of water in all areas and ensuring the durable clearance and  supply of fresh waterwhich can reduce the absence of water and reduce the number of people suffering from water deficiency.

5. By 2030, as per the suitability, implementing Integrated Water Management at all levels, including cooperation from across the border.

6. By 2020, preserving and restoring ecosystems related to water, including mountains, forests, marshy areas, rivers,  wells and lakes.

7. By 2030, increasing the scope of international cooperation and capacity building into developing countries,  including water harvesting, eradication of water, water efficiency, treatment of dirty water, recycling and recycling technology, activities related to water and hygiene and developing programs.

Support and strengthen the participation of local communities in improving water and sanitation management.

what is carpooling and its benefits

what is carpooling and its benefits

Looking at the rising pollution and traffic day by day, the government looks for new solutions every day. We must make every effort to reduce pollution.

 One of them is Carpooling.

Now the question arises that what is ultimately carpooling?

Instead of using a personalized car for one place, two or more people should use the same vehicle so that they can less use our natural resources like petrol and diesel to save  the environment. Help in keeping things clean, and also  help to reduce traffic.

importance of carpooling
importance of carpooling

First of all, Carpooling was the most famous in the United States during World War II.
After that, it returned in the 1970s, with the 1973 oil crisis and the 1979 energy crisis.

Between 1970 and 2000, the carpooling process declined, in 1970 the top of the US, in which the Commute mode share was 20.4%.When it was 9.7% by 2011

In most of the cases, this is due to the decrease in gas prices (45%). Another reason for this is the lack of space to drive the vehicles in the colleges.

Again in today's modern times, we are looking for carpooling as it is clearly visible how many problems will be faced by our upcoming generation due to the rising pollution and the lack of natural resources.

ALSO READ -what is air pollution and its causes and solution

Many companies and local authorities have started programs to promote carpooling.

In order to reduce traffic and promote carpools, some governments have introduced high-powered vehicles (HOV) lanes, which have only to drive two or more passengers. The HOV lane can strengthen carpooling by reducing travel time and expenses. In certain countries, it is common for carpoolers to find reserved parking spaces.
There are many other benefits of carpooling such as saving money, enjoying company with friends, fun, and fundamental distribution expenses, including fuel and possible tolls and many more. ...

Why do we always think that whatever the government does, does it work?
When all kinds of problems are as responsive as the general public. We also have the duty to make the government as corporate as possible. Do not disturb any government-made system.

carpooling helps to reduce pollution
carpooling helps to reduce pollution

The final thing is that we should promote carpooling.

Thanks !!

Why so much hatred towards the Christian community?

Why so much  hatred towards  the Christian community?

The terrible picture of the Sri Lankan attack is showing the hatred traits between Christians and Islam. In a beautiful country, terrorists have not only done suicide attacks, but terrorists have proved cruelty against the Christian community.

picture shows the sign of Christians.
picture shows the sign of Christians.

Only after two Muslim incidents, that happened during the prayers in New Zealand last month,All terrorist organizations had claimed that they would attack Christianity in the early hours. They first target Sri Lanka.  In Sri Lanka, he choose Christian places of worship.  Strikes were done at the St. Andrews Church of Colombo, Saint-Sommertian Church of Negombo, and the Batiklaw Church of the West Kandi town during the Easter prayer meeting.  The other three explosions took place in the five star hotels of Samgrila, Shimonon Gardens and Kingsbury.

After one suicide, eight suicide attacks shocked the whole of Sri Lanka.  290 innocent people were killed in the attack  Whereas more people were seriously injured.  With the blasts, after the end of the bloody struggle with the LTTE, peace in Sri Lanka has been disrupted for almost a decade.

LTTE was a Sri Lankan Tamil politico-military organization which fought a secessionist war with the Sri Lankan Armed Forces from 1983 to 2009. ... LTTE fought for a separate nation for Sri Lankan Tamils who dominates North and eastern parts of Sri Lanka.

This is the most dangerous attack since the restoration of peace.  The second largest terrorist attack has happened since the elimination of terrorism in Sri Lanka in 2009.  The incident of series of explosions at several places at one time in the morning of April 21 has caused old-day wounds.
In Sri Lanka, Lord Buddha's oldest temple is located.  It is believed that Budha's teeth is maintained in this temple.  The temple was blown up by the LTTE several years ago.  But the teeth is safe.  A few years after that, there was a gradual decline of the LTTE influence

Once again the terrorists consolidate peace in the peace-loving country. This incident is being seen as a revenge for a tragic incident in the New Zealand mosque last month.

→→ Is blast in srilanka is a challenge to world-by-terrorists

The terrorists have tried to dissolve the poison in peace there. If you look at the timing and way of the incident, then it shows that the event has been completed with huge planning.  The terrorists mainly made targeted Christians. Because the people of the local and western countries were living there, where bomb blasts were done.
no terrorism

Some people are also looking at linking the Sri Lankan episode with the New Zealand incident, in which about 45 Muslims were killed in a mosque due to gunshot wounds when reading prayers in the mosque. During the police investigation, the attacker told that a terrorist incident occurred several years ago, in which his daughter died.

In the New Zealand mosque, he was the person of Christian origin who had committed this incident. It is being said that since then some Islamic terrorist organizations have claimed that they will take revenge  against Christian people. The Sri Lanka incident may be related to the New Zealand incident. Because the place in which the explosion has been kept is related to Christian people. Apart from this, the hotels which have been targeted have the majority of foreign members of the Christian community.

The full information will be known only after the investigation of the incident.
But from the whole episode one thing is certain that terrorists are now disturbing the peace of the countries by taking advantage of religion.

The question arises as to why the Christian community is so much hated???

Thank you !!!

Tuesday, April 23, 2019

On 21,April 2019 , 8 serial blasts by militants at Christian Easter festival in Sri Lanka is not only a challenge to Sri Lanka but to the whole world. On the eve of the Easter, terrorists  target the Catholic Church and three five-star hotels in (Colombo), Sri Lanka's capital.

terrorists target the Catholic Church in sri lanka
terrorists  target the Catholic Church in sri lanka

There are news of the death of 290 people in these attacks and many are injured . In fact, the terrorist organizations want to threaten those  countries which Fight  against terrorism by targeting a weak country and their existence remains intact.  World powers including the United States, England, France have taken strong measures against terrorism. Due to the invasion of these countries, the terrorists are conducting attacks in Asia.  The horrific hatred of the terrorists behind the Sri Lankan incident also proves that they are targeting people of religion.  In fact, many terrorist organizations including Al-Qaeda are also targeting the Christian community all over the world.

The terrorists who call terrorism 'jihad' do not have any religion.  Now , This time is not
only to take action against terrorists but to avoid the terrorists' hatred in the name of religion.
The attacks on Sri Lanka can create a fight between Muslims in the Christian community of
America and Europe. This environment also raises racial attacks when non-white purposes
have been countermanded for white people.  We need to avoid such a delusional illusion.

It is the only terrorist, who wants to fight in the name of religion around the world.  Their
attacks on the religious places have also been planned.  Potential nations have to launch
a campaign to isolate terrorism and religion. At the same time, it is very important to deal
with terrorism and countries with strategic repetition strategies.  Although there have been
many agreements in different countries to end terrorism, although technological and legal
complications are being prevented in the fight against terrorists, resulting in terrorists
working in weak and poor countries by avoiding powerful nations.

Like Pakistan, the country is using every right to defend terrorists by giving a cry for action
against terrorism.  Terrorism is an enemy of peace and prosperity, no one has friends
All countries must be united to deal with terrorism.

stop terrorism
stop terrorism

We all have to act united against terrorism

Thank you !!
